1 millionth TEU handled at Hai Phong terminal

On November 9, the Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT) held a Cargo Receipt Ceremony from Maersk Copenhagen marking the 1,000,000th TEU of goods passing through the port after five years of operations. TC-HICT is investing in opening inland waterway routes to send goods from seaports through the river network to inland ports, in a bid to become a global hub for the transshipment, separation, and packaging of goods.
