Experts attending a seminar told Vietnam Economic Times / VnEconomy that small modular reactors (SMRs) could strengthen Vietnam’s energy security, support decarbonization, and open new pathways for technology, workforce, and industrial development.
The upcoming MTA Vietnam 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City will bring together global technology providers and domestic manufacturers, with a focus on applied solutions, supply chain connections, and advancing localization in key industries.
With a planned capacity of 360,000 tons per year, the facility will be equipped with modern, highly automated production lines imported from Europe, the United States, China, and other technologically advanced nations.
The initiative aims to provide workers with stable living conditions, allowing them to focus on their work and maintain long-term commitment to enterprises and industrial zones.
This event is designed not only to attract tourists to the city but also to create a vibrant shopping atmosphere, boosting trade and service development.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the dismantling of imported used ships in Vietnam poses significant environmental threats due to hazardous materials and pollutants.
