The CMC Corporation, one of leading tech companies in Vietnam, will build a Hyperscale Data Center in Ho Chi Minh City with an estimated investment capital of over $250 million.
The corporation said the Management Board of the HCM City High-tech Park has approved its proposal for the investment.
The Hyperscale DC SHTP is designed as a huge center for data storage and analysis, providing AI development and data services.
It has an initial designed capacity of 30 MW, which is possibly expanded to 120 MW, willing to meet the development need of AI and digital economies.
The project is expected to help HCM City attract more R&D centers, startups, investment funds, and technological colleges, thus becoming the leading AI city in Vietnam and a digital hub in the region.
