The Nguyen Tat Thanh railway overpass in Vinh Yen city, northern Vinh Phuc province, officially opened to traffic on January 1.
The project features a total designed length of 752 m, with the main bridge section spanning 368.6 m. Utilizing modern cable-stayed technology and stylized pylons, the bridge's unique and prominent architectural design enhances the urban landscape.
The bridge, with an 8-span structure, features a 22.5-m wide deck to ensure safe and convenient traffic flow for vehicles.
The project, with an investment of VND488 billion ($19.1 million) from the provincial budget’s public investment capital, aims to resolve traffic congestion at the intersection of the Hanoi-Lao Cai railway line and Nguyen Tat Thanh road.
It is also expected to improve transportation capacity and ensure the safety of people and vehicles passing through.
Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, emphasized the project's significance for local socio-economic development.
