Northern Bac Giang province has decided to cancel 102 urban and residential projects that were previously approved for investment attraction but had not yet received investment policy approval, according to the Voice of Vietnam.

In late December 2024,  Deputy Director of the Bac Giang Department of Construction Nguyen Ngoc Sơn signed a document proposing the cancellation to the Provincial People's Committee and its Chairman. This proposal aims to ensure that the implementation of urban and residential projects aligns with current regulations.

The Bac Giang Department of Construction cited changes in investment and construction procedures for urban and residential areas as the reason for canceling these projects. Consequently, it was deemed necessary to cancel the list of projects that had been approved but not yet received investment policy approval.

The canceled projects, approved between 2020 and 2024, are located in various districts, cities, and towns of the province, including Luc Nam, Tan Yen, Hiep Hoa, Lang Giang, Yen The, Luc Ngan, Bac Giang, and Viet Yen.
