Foxconn Vietnam General Director Chau Nghia Van described northern Bac Ninh province as Foxconn’s most important manufacturing base in Vietnam during a working session with Bac Ninh Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai on November 5.
Foxconn, a leading global electronics manufacturer, operates across 24 countries and territories. Since entering Vietnam in 2007, the group has gradually expanded its operations across several localities, with Bac Ninh serving as one of its key manufacturing bases.
To date, Foxconn has implemented 22 projects in Bac Ninh, creating approximately 140,000 jobs and contributing to the province’s industrial development, exports and local economy.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Thai encouraged Foxconn to continue expanding production and deepen its involvement in technology development. He also called for closer links between local businesses and Foxconn’s supply chain, as well as cooperation in training highly skilled workers.
Foxconn Vietnam’s general director reaffirmed the group’s commitment to maintaining Bac Ninh as a key location in its Vietnam development strategy. The company pledged to strengthen its long-term presence, expand production, create more jobs and contribute to the city’s socioeconomic development.
