The People’s Committee of southern Binh Duong province has approved an area for urban development along the section of Ho Chi Minh City's projected Ring Road No.4, which runs through the province.
The area, covering 2,700 ha in Ben Cat city, will accommodate 10 urban areas and four ports.
Construction of the 10 urban areas is estimated to cost over VND130.3 trillion ($5.11 billion) while more than VND3.4 trillion ($133.5 million) is needed for building the four ports.
Investment capital will be mobilised by the province from many different sources such as the State budget, private sectors and bonds
These urban areas and ports will play an important role in being a traffic hub of Bình Dương Province, and a gateway connecting with HCM City through the Ring Road No.4.
The Ring Road No.4 has a total length of 207 km, crossing five localities, namely Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Dong Nai, HCM City, Binh Duong and Long An.
