The total volume of cargo transported via Vietnam’s seaports in the first ten months of this year was estimated at 624.559 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3 per cent, according to the Vietnam Maritime Administration.
Seaports in many localities have once again posted growth in cargo transport after a experiencing a downwards trend over the past few months, including those in Ho Chi Minh City, with a year-on-year rise of 2.72 per cent, Quang Ninh, with 4.8 per cent, and Hai Phong, with 0.8 per cent.
In the ten-month period, the volume of exports via seaports fell 1 per cent year-on-year but imports surged 5 per cent.
The Ministry of Transport has announced a list of 296 seaports in Vietnam.
