The Da Nang City People's Council has issued Resolution No. 57/2024/NQ-HĐND, establishing a comprehensive policy to develop human resources in the fields of semiconductor microchips and artificial intelligence (AI).

The initiative aims to attract experts, scientists, and professionals to the city, with an estimated budget of approximately VND873 billion ($34.4 million).

To support this goal, the city has introduced several outstanding policies designed to attract high-quality talent. These policies include compensation, income, and living expense support for individuals working in the semiconductor and AI sectors. The criteria for support focus on individuals with exceptional abilities and expertise, capable of assembling and developing teams in these fields.

Key support policies outlined in Resolution No. 57/2024/NQ-HĐND include: a one-time initial income of VND100 million (approximately $3,940) per month for experts and scientists working in enterprises; a maximum income of VND50 million ($1,970) per month for those working in public service units or state agencies; a support for living expenses in the city, not exceeding VND20 million ($788) per month, for a support period of up to one year; financial support of VND25 million ($985) for each intellectual property right or patent announced in Vietnam, and VND50 million ($1,970) for those published internationally.
