The ICT1 building of Da Nang Software Park 2 was officially put into operation on January 16, marking a significant milestone in the central city's tech development.

Initiated in October 2020, Da Nang Software Park 2 encompasses a 20-story ICT office building, alongside two 8-story office and headquarters blocks, ICT1 and ICT2.

The project also includes a system of yards, internal roads, green landscapes, drainage systems, and lighting, with a total investment exceeding VND900 billion (nearly $35.5 million).

On October 22, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1238/QD-TTg, authorizing the expansion of the concentrated information technology zone of Da Nang Software Park. As a result, Da Nang Software Park 2, spread over 28,573 sq.m in Thuan Phuoc Ward, serves as an extension of the original park in Thach Thang Ward, both in Da Nang city's Hai Chau district.

The Da Nang People's Council approved an adjustment to the investment policy on October 30, 2024, raising the total investment capital to over VND1.4 trillion (nearly $55.2 million) to complete all three building blocks simultaneously.

The ICT1 building, now in operation, boasts 8 floors with a total construction floor surface area of over 39,000 sq.m and an operating area of 21,000 sq.m. This space prioritizes strategic partners, investors, and small, innovative businesses in the fields of microchips, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence.

Currently, more than 30 businesses have registered to lease office space in the ICT1 building, with a total registered area of approximately 25,000 sq.m.

At the opening ceremony, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the city of Da Nang and partners in the microchips, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence sectors.
