The Da Nang City People’s Committee has issued a decision on setting up a taskforce and consultant group to implement the city’s master plan on developing semiconductor chips.

The taskforce will consult and help the city’s People’s Committee to coordinate, build, and organize the implementation of the master plan as well as carry out solutions to develop the semiconductor industry.

It will also propose policies to develop the industry, attract investment, and train high-quality human resources.

Its establishment is aimed at fulfilling the city’s targets by 2030 of the digital economy accounting for at least 30 per cent of its GRDP.

The city also targets having at least 8,950 digital enterprises, 115,000 workers in the digital industry, and seven information technology zones and software parks.
