The selling price of gold bars in the domestic market rose for the fourth consecutive day on November 21, to VND86.2 million ($3,379) per tael.
One tael equals 37.5 grams, or 1.2 ounces.
The price surged VND500,000 ($19.6) per tael compared to the previous day.
Meanwhile, the pace of increases to the selling price of gold rings slowed, rising VND300,000 - VND500,000 ($17.6 - $19.6) per tael compared to the previous day, to VND85.5 million - VND86 million ($3,352 - $3,372).
Prices in the global market increased to VND83.164 million ($3,260) per tael on November 21, figures from WiGroup show.
At this level, gold prices in Vietnam stand at around VND3 million ($117) per tael higher than the global price.
