Taxes collected from e-commerce trading of domestic individuals and organizations in the first ten months of the year reached VND94.6 trillion ($3.7 billion), a year-on-year increase of 17%, according to the General Department of Taxation.
The department also reported that 116 foreign e-commerce service providers registered, declared and paid taxes of over VND19.77 trillion ($775 million) so far via its online portal, including VND8.2 trillion ($321 million) paid in the ten-month period, surging 18.9% compared to the same period last year.
Some 412 trading platforms have registered via the portal, with over 191,000 businesses and individuals reporting transactions worth nearly VND72 trillion ($2.82 billion).
