The Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee has granted investment licenses to two projects from Foxconn Singapore.

The Foxconn Quang Ninh FECV plant, covering 6.3 ha at the Song Khoai Industrial Park in the northern province, has total investment of over $200.2 million and will manufacture and assemble electronic components, electrical chargers, and electrical charge controllers for electric vehicles.

The project is expected to be put into operation in January 2025 and generate nearly 1,200 jobs.

The Foxconn Quang Ninh FMMV factory, meanwhile, covers 4.1 ha at Song Khoai with estimated investment of $46 million. It will focus on manufacturing and outsourcing components, molds, and components for information technology and communications products.

The project is scheduled to begin operations in October 2024 and employ over 700 workers.
