The Italian-flagged Costa Serena brought almost 3,000 foreign tourists and over 1,000 crew members to Ha Long city in northern Quang Ninh province on September 30, the Vietnam News Agency has reported.

During their stay, they are set to explore Ha Long Bay as well as the city’s downtown area and tourist attractions.

The cruise is scheduled to depart at 6 pm on the same day, and return for more visits on October 14, October 18, November 4, and November 8.

Ha Long is expected to welcome 60-70 cruise ships this year with 70,000 tourists aboard.
