Authorities in north-central Ha Tinh province have introduced policies to support businesses and promote the development of container transport via its Vung Ang Port, including cash support to container ships and businesses transporting goods via the facility.

In the first half of the year, the province provided financial aid of over VND10 billion ($421,000) to 51 container ships using Vung Ang Port.

Under a resolution issued by local authorities in 2021, shipping companies that load or unload cargo at Vung Ang, with at least two ships using the facility a month, will receive financial aid of VND200 million ($8,400) per visit.

Businesses, organizations, and individuals importing or exporting cargo by container through Vung Ang Port will receive VND700,000-1 million ($30-420).
