Hanoi has exceeded its 2024 job creation target, successfully placing over 196,000 individuals in employment. This achievement surpasses the initial goal of 165,000 jobs.

Government-funded programs, including those facilitated by the Social Policy Bank, played a crucial role in creating employment opportunities for over 48,000 individuals. Additionally, job fairs, employment exchanges, and the Hanoi Employment Service Center helped connect over 15,400 job seekers with potential employers.

The city also supported international job placement, with nearly 4,000 individuals finding employment overseas. Domestically, over 128,000 individuals secured jobs through various channels.

To assist unemployed individuals, the capital city's Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs provided unemployment benefits totaling VND1.98 trillion (nearly $78 million) to 64,485 people. The department also offered vocational training to 93 individuals to enhance their employability.

Hanoi remains committed to promoting employment opportunities and supporting its citizens. The Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs will continue to provide vocational training and job placement services to help individuals find sustainable employment.
