A groundbreaking ceremony has been held for the Thanh Van – Tan Uoc Industrial Cluster in Thanh Oai district, Hanoi.

Thanh Oai is the second district in the capital city to complete the groundbreaking for all 5 industrial clusters, achieving a 100% completion rate.

The Thanh Van-Tan Uoc Industrial Cluster, spanning 52 ha with a total investment exceeding VND1.1 trillion ($43 million), is poised to attract over 100 businesses and create employment opportunities for thousands of workers.

The cluster is designed to meet the highest standards of modern industrial facilities, incorporating cutting-edge infrastructure, contemporary architecture, and environmentally friendly practices.

Currently, the district boasts 42 traditional craft villages and four industrial clusters, housing over 2,000 operational businesses engaged in production and commerce. The district has proposed a development plan for industrial clusters for the period 2021-2030, encompassing nine clusters with a total area of 386 ha, including the expansion of four existing clusters totaling 130 ha.

The Thanh Van-Tan Uoc Industrial Cluster project is a multi-industry cluster, aiming to attract investments in high-tech, supporting industries, and clean production. It intends to relocate households, businesses, and establishments currently operating in craft villages and residential areas, resolving the environmental pollution issue.

According to representatives from the Hanoi People's Committee, by investing in industrial infrastructure, Hanoi seeks to achieve an annual average growth rate of 8.5%-9% in the industrial and construction sector from 2021 to 2025.

The city aims to construct a total of 43 industrial clusters, with 29 already underway. The completion of the Thanh Van-Tan Uoc Industrial Cluster marks a significant step towards realizing the goal.
