The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications kicked off the Book and Digital Transformation Week on October 25 at Nguyen Van Binh Book Street, District 1, marking the National Digital Transformation Day 2024 (October 10).
The week-long event, running from October 25 to 31, features over 30 programs and interactive activities, with the participation of 24 units. Readers can explore a vast digital library of 3,000+ e-books and audiobooks, and experience cutting-edge book technologies that bridge the gap between print reading and digital reading.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Director of the Department of Information and Communications Lam Dinh Thang emphasized that digital transformation is reshaping industries worldwide, including the book publishing, printing, and distribution sector.
The event highlights the industry’s commitment to embracing technological advancements and creating innovative digital products, noted Mr. Thang.
A key highlight of this year's event is the online exhibition showcasing 498 documents, offering a unique digital experience. This initiative reflects the growing trend of digital transformation in the publishing industry and its potential to revolutionize the way books are produced, distributed, and consumed.
