A movement titled  ‘Become a digital citizen of Ho Chi Minh City — Connecting citizens and the government’ was launched on January 12.

The activity is part of the city’s 2025 plan to promote digital transformation and launch the "Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen App," scheduled for January 14.

The movement is aimed at accelerating the connection between citizens and authorities, and raising people's awareness of the role of digital transformation, as well as collect feedback from users to upgrade the application.

Addressing the launching ceremony, the municipal People’s Committee Chairman Phan Van Mai highlighted the importance of digital transformation, the application of science, technology, and innovation across all aspects of life as essential for entering a new era.

He stressed that it is crucial for officials, party members, civil servants, public employees, and armed forces to first become digital citizens.
