HCMC plans to build roads connected to expressways and Ring Roads

Ho Chi Minh City plans to invest over VND56.5 trillion ($2.3 billion) in building roads connecting to expressways and Ring Roads in the city.

Priority will be given to the construction of four projects with estimated investment capital of nearly VND12.3 trillion ($502 million).

These include a project to expand the Tan Tao - Cho Dem and Binh Thuan - Cho Dem Road from six lanes to eight, which will connect Ho Chi Minh City with Mekong Delta localities via the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway.

The second project will build a two-lane road connecting the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh -Dau Giay Expressway with Thu Duc city.

The third project will build overpasses on the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway at the intersection with National Highway No. 50, and upgrade existing intersections with National Highway No. 50 and other intersections.

And the fourth project will build a route connecting Phuoc Thien Road in Thu Duc city with Ring Road No. 3.

Other projects are undergoing investment studies, including the construction of four roads connecting Ring Road No. 3, a route connecting the Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway with Go Dua - Ring Road No. 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, lengthening the Long Phuoc Road to connect Long Thuan Road with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, and the construction of a road connecting the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway with the intersection between Vuon Lai and Ring Road No. 2.
