Ho Chi Minh City will host the 17th International Tourism Expo (ITE HCMC 2023), entitled “Connectivity, Growth, Sustainability”, from September 7-9.

ITE HCMC 2023 is expected to offer breakthrough solutions to help Vietnam’s tourism recover and develop sustainably and to promote beautiful images of Vietnam and its people.

Set to double the scale of ITE HCMC 2022, this year’s event plans to welcome more than 400 exhibitors, including international tourism promotion agencies and centers, tourism associations from localities, travel companies, travel agents, hotels and resorts, airlines, and transportation service providers.

Around one-third of international booths belong to travel promotion agencies from Cambodia, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Taiwan (China), The Philippines, Thailand, and St. Petersburg in Russia and Seoul in South Korea, alongside booths from domestic travel agencies in 46 cities and provinces around Vietnam.

“With its scale and significance, it is hoped that the expo will help Vietnam’s tourism sector see breakthrough development, making it a spearhead economic sector, with Vietnam becoming one of 30 countries and territories with the best travel competitiveness in the world,” said Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism.

A highlight of ITE HCMC 2023 is the launch of the Hosted Buyer Program, an exclusive program designed for international buyers to expand their networks in Vietnam and the Lower Mekong region.
