KIM LONG MOTOR officially inaugurated its new truck manufacturing plant and launched its own branded vehicle lines in Hue city, central Vietnam, on March 17.
Spanning approximately 6 ha with a total investment exceeding VND900 billion ($34 million), the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art, highly automated production lines.
The entire production process complies with international standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949.
Mr. Dao Viet Anh, General Director of KIM LONG MOTOR, stated that the enterprise identifies localization and mastering core technologies as the foundation for building a sustainable automotive ecosystem. The company will continue to expand partnerships and develop supporting industries to increase its localization rate and participate more deeply in the global value chain.
The plant aims for an annual production capacity of approximately 20,000 vehicles, serving both domestic and export markets.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Khac Toan emphasized that the facility is a pioneering project that aligns with the city’s orientation toward attracting green, clean, high-tech, and sustainable industrial investments. Once operational, the plant is expected to not only drive socio-economic growth but also contribute to the development of a self-sufficient Vietnamese automotive industry.
