Businesses in some sectors are in need of recruiting a huge number of workers, including transport and logistics, tourism, hospitality, real estate, banking and finance, and information technology, according to the Hanoi Job Services Center.
With economic recovery in 2022 and early 2023, it said, the labor market is expected to grow in the first quarter of the year, leading to rising recruitment demand from businesses.
Total recruitment demand in the first quarter in the capital is expected at 100,000-120,000 workers.
Transport and logistics businesses are seeking 14,000-18,000 workers, real estate 10,000-15,000, banking and finance 15,000-20,000, and information technology 12,000-15,000.
Deputy Director of the Hanoi Job Services Center Vu Quang Thanh said the jobs market in the capital remains stable.
More than 99 per cent of local businesses have resumed operations after the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday, and over 98 per cent of workers have returned to work, according to the city’s Confederation of Labor.
