InnoEx 2024, the leading innovation expo of Southeast Asia - opened in Ho Chi Minh City on August 22.

The two-day event is aimed at supporting and promoting innovation activities among the business community and creating a venue to introduce, connect and boost cooperation between Vietnamese and foreign firms.

Aiming to reshape the innovation landscape, InnoEx 2024 features over 30,000 attendees, including more than 4,000 CEOs and industry leaders, 85+ investment funds, and 150+ startups.

The event hosts over 260 domestic and international exhibitors, including notable FDI businesses, SMEs, and technology startups.

The event features exhibitions displaying cutting-edge products and services designed to maximize impact with minimal resources.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, said Ho Chi Minh City identified innovation as one of breakthrough strategies in promoting growth and improving the quality and competitiveness of the city.

He noted that the city boasts the most dynamic ecosystem in Vietnam, with over half of the country's startups and 40% of the incubators and startup support facilities. The city also accounts for 44% of the venture capital and over 60% of the successful deals nationwide.

After the opening ceremony, the InnoEx Business Innovation Forum was held with the theme: “AI Innovation: How AI Innovation is Redefining the Way Industries Operate”, with the participation of many enterprises operating in the field of AI.

The Vietnam CEO Forum 2024 was also organized on the sidelines of the expo, highlighting the contribution of innovation activities in promoting business value.
