Over 400 businesses from 16 countries and territories are expected to attend the first Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) in Ho Chi Minh City from February 28 to March 1, according to the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency.
They mostly come from the UK, Germany, Italy, the US, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong (China), Taiwan (China), Thailand, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, and China.
The Fair will be co-hosted by Messe Frankfurt, a global textile trade fair organizer, and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and bear the theme “Trade connections with international businesses”, the Nhan Dan (People) online newspaper reported.
It is hoped to create opportunities for businesses to seek partnership and suppliers, promote trade exchanges, take part more deeply in global value chains, meet the diversified demand of both domestic and international customers, and increase product value, contributing to promoting the development of Vietnam’s garment and textile sector towards green and sustainable growth.
