The first-ever iTECH Expo 2024 opened in Ho Chi Minh City on July 10, displaying the latest technological solutions.
With the theme of "New tech for the new era", the event features 350 booths, showcasing a range of new, smart, and highly-applicable technologies of businesses such as Intel, ASUS, Zoho, QTSC, VNPT, Viettel, Mobifone, CMC Telecom, Galaxy Holdings, and Dai Nam.
The three-day exhibition introduces a range of innovative solutions such as 5G, AI, IoT, AR/VR and blockchain.
Along with local groups, the participating organizations, associations and suppliers come from more than 10 nations and territories like China, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan (China), the Republic of Korea, Japan, the Czech Republic, the UK, the United States, Australia, and Russia.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong said information technology is a main growth engine of the national economy last year, with an estimated revenue of $138 billion, including $133 billion worth of exports.
Many digital technology firms posted growth rates of between 20% and 40% year-on-year in 2023.
The event is expected to help enterprises seek new markets, catch up with global technology trends, create breakthroughs in digital transformation in Vietnam, and promote “Made in Vietnam” digital technology products and services, he said.
