The central highlands’ Kon Tum province plans to develop eight industrial clusters in Kon Tum city in the 2030-2040 period under the city’s adjusted master plan, which has been approved by the provincial People’s Committee.

The clusters will cover a total area of 569.5 ha and focus on forestry product processing, agricultural products, construction materials, transport equipment, electronics equipment, garments and textiles, and logistics, for both domestic consumption and for export.

Under the planning, Kon Tum city has been directed to develop industrial parks and clusters towards creating clean industry and protecting the environment, to contribute to the province’s sustainable growth.

The city will also continue investing in completing infrastructure at its existing industrial parks and clusters.

To improve the operational efficiency of businesses at its industrial parks, the provincial People’s Committee has asked the Economic Zone Management Board to work with the Kon Tum Department of Planning and Investment to guide businesses on gaining access to incentives relating to investment, finance, and credit, and will review and reduce administrative procedures to create a more favorable investment environment.
