Lang Son breaks ground on Bac Son 2 Industrial Cluster

The People's Committee of the northern mountainous province of Lang Son held a groundbreaking ceremony on December 19 for the Bac Son 2 Industrial Cluster in Chien Thang Commune, Bac Son District, the national radio broadcastor Voice of Vietnam reported.

Covering an area of nearly 25 ha, the project is estimated to cost a total investment of over VND285 billion (nearly $11.2 million).

The Bac Son 2 Industrial Cluster is designed with synchronized technical infrastructure, functional areas, greenery, and transportation, meeting national standards for construction planning.

In addition to the goal of industrial infrastructure business, the project also creates conditions to attract secondary investment, promote economic restructuring, contribute to solving environmental pollution, and generate employment, improving the quality of life for local people.

According to the Provincial Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister, Lang Son is oriented to develop according to the model of "One development axis, Two economic corridors, Three economic regions," while industry is identified as one of the breakthroughs in development.

Mr. Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, stated that the completion and operation of the project will create a land fund for concentrated industrial production, create jobs for people in the area, and contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of Bac Son district and the province’s southwestern economic region.
