Law code officially launched

Vietnam’s law code which contains nearly 9,000 valid central-level legal documents, was officially launched by the Ministry of Justice on November 5.

Some 8,489 valid legal documents, which have been collected and classified into 45 sections in logical and scientific order, can be found in the code.

The valid legal documents include 290 issued by the National Assembly, 82 by the National Assembly Standing Committee, 1,365 by the Government, 596 by the Prime Minister and 6,156 by ministries and sectors

The code serves as a free reference for agencies, organizations, and individuals at the Ministry of Justice's website: phapdien.moj.gov.vn.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Justice Minister Nguyen Hai Ninh highlighted the importance of the codification to ensuring the openness, transparency and accessibility.

The minister asked ministries, agencies, and localities to join hands to strengthen the effectiveness of State management in the codification of legal documents and utilize information-technology in the work.
