Exports of livestock products in April earned $41 million in revenue, a year-on-year increase of 46.7 per cent, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).
The April figure brings the total export value of livestock products in the first four months of the year to $114.9 million.
South Korea is the largest export market of poultry products from Vietnam, accounting for 28.6 per cent of the total, followed by Malaysia, China, and Hong Kong (China).
Meanwhile, Vietnam imported $1.35 billion worth of livestock products in the first four months. It chiefly imports poultry products from the US, Brazil, South Korea, and Poland.
