Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has signed a decision approving the master planning for the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050 for the Mekong Delta’s Long An province, which will turn the locality into a gateway along the urban-industry economic corridor of the Mekong Delta region.
The province will also strive to become an important cooperation and trade exchange point with Cambodia.
Under the plan, Long An’s GRDP growth is expected to reach 9 per cent a year by 2030.
By 2050, it is envisioned to become a leading economic locality of the country and one of important economic growth poles of the Mekong Delta region.
Investment will be focused on developing the transportation network and logistics to strengthen inter-regional connection to promote socio-economic development.
