Mekong forum to link HCMC with Mekong Delta

Forum aims to connect supply chains and value chains towards green growth.

The Mekong Connect 2023 Economic Forum is scheduled to be held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 15 and 16 to identify measures to link supply chains and value chains in the southern city with the 13 Mekong Delta cities and provinces towards a green and sustainable economy.

The gathering will provide a venue for participants to discuss opportunities, challenges, and solutions that will have a direct impact on the region’s economic development.

It will focus on topics such as creating an environment for the business community to promote the green economy, the emerging markets of recycling and carbon credits, solutions to expand markets for Vietnamese products, green consumption in society, and green transition within the business community.

Participants will also discuss the special mechanism to develop Ho Chi Minh City in connection with the Mekong Delta region in the supply chain of products and services as well as challenges in implementing the master planning of the Mekong Delta region and solutions for any issues arising.

A series of seminars will also be held to analyze the green economy, share experience, and investigate market opportunities in green economic development.
