NA approves appointment of two Deputy PMs

The National Assembly (NA) has approved a resolution ratifying the Prime Minister’s proposal to appoint two Deputy Prime Ministers. The procedure was conducted during the NA’s second extra-ordinary meeting in Hanoi on January 5.

Tran Hong Ha, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, and Tran Luu Quang, Hai Phong City Party Secretary, are now Deputy Prime Ministers in the 2021-2026 tenure after the resolution was passed unanimously by the NA.

Ha, born in 1963, was a member of the Party Central Committee in the 11th, 12th, and 13th tenures and a deputy in the 14th NA.

Quang, born in 1967, was a member of the Party Central Committee in the 11th, 12th, and 13th tenures and a deputy in the 14th and 15th NA.
