Workplace productivity has been identified as a crucial factor in Vietnam’s rapid and sustainable growth and opportunities brought about by Industry 4.0 will be fully utilized by 2030.
Improving the quality of market economy institutions and human resources, promoting regional links, and applying science and technology and innovation and creativity as well as digital transformation are seen as key pillars.
These are significant points in the national program on enhancing workplace productivity by 2030 under Decision No. 1305/QD-TTG signed by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on November 8.
The program sets a specific target of raising average workplace productivity growth by over 6.5 per cent annually, in which growth in the manufacturing and processing industry is to reach 6.5-7 per cent and in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries industry and the service industry 7-7.5 per cent.
It is also targeted that workplace productivity growth in key economic areas and five centrally-run cities will be higher than the national average in the 2023-2030 period.
Under the program, Vietnam is set to be among the three leading countries in ASEAN in workplace productivity growth by 2030.
