Nearly 14,000 workers in Nghe An province sent abroad in 9M

Nearly 14,000 workers from Nghe An province in central Vietnam were sent to work abroad under contracts in the first 9 months of this year, equivalent to 87.5% of the province's annual plan, according to the local People's Committee. 

The central province's labor force, aged 15 and above, reached over 1.63 million people as of the end of 2024, with male workers accounting for 53.19% and female workers 46.81%. The urban labor force accounted for about 15.5%, while the remaining 84.5% was from rural areas.

According to statistics, about 34,200 people in the province have got new jobs in the first 9 months of 2025, accounting for 74.35% of the annual plan. Among them,  nearly 14,000 people have been sent abroad, equivalent to 87.5% of the plan.

In September alone, Nghe An province created jobs for 3,200 workers, including 1,200 people going abroad to work in markets such as Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (China), Singapore, etc.
