Central Nghe An province attracted over VND16.45 trillion ($628 million) worth of investment capital in the first six months of the year, including nearly $300 million from foreign investors.
As of June 20, the provincial authorities granted investment certificates and approved investment policies for 32 projects with a total investment capital of more than VND6.63 trillion ($253 million). Of the total, there were 8 FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of $76.2 million.
Meanwhile, 25 existing projects were licensed to increase investment capital by over VND9.81 trillion ($374 million), including 7 FDI projects which added $215.9 million worth of investment capital.
The positive results in the first half of the year continued to prove Nghe An as one of top localities in Vietnam in attracting FDI.
In 2024, Nghe An attracted a record FDI capital of nearly $1.75 billion.
