Northern Ninh Binh province’s economy maintained strong growth across all major sectors in the first nine months of 2026, with total export turnover reaching $28.13 billion, up 50% year on year, according to a report by the provincial People’s Committee.

The industrial and construction sector remained the main contributor to economic growth, expanding 16.37% during the nine-month period. Industrial production accelerated further in the third quarter, with the Industrial Production Index (IIP) estimated to rise 20.43%, bringing the nine-month increase to 25.01% year on year.

The trade and services sector also maintained solid growth of 9.04%. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue reached an estimated VND240.34 trillion ($9.13 billion), up 20% year on year.

Tourism continued to be a major contributor. Ninh Binh welcomed an estimated 20.55 million visitors in the first nine months, including 2.45 million international arrivals and 18.1 million domestic visitors. Tourism revenue was estimated at VND21.35 trillion ($811 million).

The investment climate continued to improve, with 124 new projects licensed, including 38 foreign-invested projects with combined registered capital of $493.7 million and 86 domestic projects worth VND12.38 trillion ($470 million).

Meanwhile, 3,909 new private enterprises were established, with total registered capital of approximately VND41.05 trillion.
