Vietnam Airlines launched direct flights between Japan’s Osaka and central Da Nang city on July 3, marking the official resumption of direct flights between the two cities after a temporary suspension.
The Osaka–Da Nang route will operate four times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, adding to the existing daily Narita–Da Nang service, bringing the total number of weekly flights from Japan to Da Nang to 11.
The resumption of direct flights from Japan will help not only facilitate tourism exchanges but also promote economic and cultural cooperation between Da Nang and Japanese cities, according to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of Da Nang City’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
In the first half of 2025, the beach city welcomed over 108,000 Japanese visitors, accounting for 4.16% of total international arrivals, a slight increase from the same period last year.
