PM calls for enhanced level-based information system security

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has sought more stricter adherence from relevant ministries, agencies, and localities on information security regulations and enhanced level-based information system security measures in a directive issued on February 23, the Government News has reported.

The directive notes that ensuring level-based information system security measures is a key measure to protect the information systems in line with the Law on Cybersecurity.

They were assigned to ensure that all operational information systems, ranging from Level 1 to Level 5, receive proper security clearances no later than September and implement level-based information system security plans approved no later than December.

All information systems that are being designed, built, upgraded, or expanded must have the level-based information system security approved before being put into operation.

The Ministry of Information and Communications is tasked with issuing and disseminating a handbook on compliance with legal regulations and strengthening information system security according to the level.

At the same time, it must strengthen inspection and examine compliance with information security regulations.
