After 15 years in Vietnam, Audi will begin its next stage of development with Pon Holdings.
With maximum support from Audi AG and the existing shareholder of Audi Vietnam, Tran Tan Trung, Pon has received a majority of shares belonging to Automotive Asia, the official importer of Audi in Vietnam, and the Lien A International Company, the official distributor of Audi in Vietnam, and will undertake imports, sales, and after-sales services for Audi in Vietnam starting from November 1 through official Audi dealers including Audi Hanoi, Audi Ho Chi Minh, Audi Tan Binh, and Audi Da Nang.
“We look forward to expanding the Audi brand further in Vietnam together,” Mr. Trung said.
Mr. Ferry Enders, Managing Director representing Pon Holdings at Audi Vietnam, said Vietnam’s rapid socio-economic development means that the market has more and more consumers wanting to buy high-end products such as Audi luxury motor cars.
“Our mission is to ensure that the entire customer journey matches the craftsmanship, quality, and innovative technology that underpin the Audi brand,” he added. “Thanks to our extensive experience in the automotive industry, our close relationship with Audi, our international experience in the luxury segment, and direct experience in the local market, we are energized to begin to satisfy all the needs of Vietnamese customers.”
Pon has more than 15,000 employees worldwide and operates famous brands, with more than 110 businesses operating in the automotive industry, bicycles, heavy equipment, electrical systems, and agricultural services.
It is a long-term partner of Audi and Volkswagen in the EU and the US. After entering Vietnam through Pon Phu Thai Mobility, the importer and distributor of Jaguar Land Rover, cooperation with Audi is the next logical step.
