Central Quang Tri province has approved the investment plan and the investor, the A&C International Packaging Joint Stock Company, for the A&C International Packaging Factory project.

Located at the Quan Ngang Industrial Park in Gio Linh district, the project will cover a planned area of 96,350 sq m.

It will produce various types of aluminum cans, with a capacity of 1 billion per year.

The project is divided into two phases. Phase 1 will require total investment of nearly VND2.3 trillion ($90 million), while Phase 2 will require VND327.8 billion ($12.8 million).

Phase 1 will begin site clearance and site preparation from the fourth quarter 2024 and finish in the second quarter of 2025. Test production is scheduled for the second quarter of 2027, with commercial production to commence in the third quarter of 2027. Commercial production in Phase 2 is expected to get underway in the first quarter of 2029.

The project will utilize technology and equipment sourced from the US, the Netherlands, and the UK.
