The technology sector still saw major recruitment needs in August, especially in positions like engineers and programmers, with VNPT and Vinaphone having significant demand.

The banking sector, meanwhile, also saw major recruitment demand during the month in customer relations positions and information technology positions in system development and digital transformation. Demand for mid-level and senior-level personnel continues to increase, mainly in technology and data. Banks with major demand include the Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank) and the Saigon Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SCB).

Many businesses in the service sector, especially retailers, still have recruitment needs due to rising demand for essential items.

Recent labor market research reports have predicted that demand for human resources in information technology and banking will rise in the near future. The third quarter is forecast to be a peak recruitment period for these sectors. There also remains a need to recruit experienced candidates at large foreign companies in new sectors such as digital transformation.

Dr. Ngo Tu Lap, Director of the International Francophone Institute (IFI), which specializes in training masters in information technology, previously told VnEconomy that demand for human resources in information technology has increased four-fold over the last ten years.

Most fields currently see increasing demand in information technology positions. Job opportunities in this sector are therefore substantial, while related businesses in the field still need more human resources.
