Support for Hanoi retail enterprises issuing e-invoices from cash registers

The Hanoi Tax Department has said it will provide retail enterprises with infrastructure and technical support if they are yet to meet requirements in providing e-invoices from cash registers.

Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and northern Hai Phong city are the three initial localities requiring that all retail enterprises trial the issuance of e-invoices from cash registers using tax authorities’ data systems, following recent instructions from the Ministry of Finance.

These enterprises are restaurants and hotels, supermarkets, jewelry stores, pharmacies, and entertainment venues.

As of March 5, more than 5,300 enterprises, household businesses, and individuals in Hanoi had registered to issue e-invoices from cash registers, or 136.2 per cent of the target, according to the tax department. The total number of e-invoices issued from cash registers has reached more than 920,000.
