MoT adds 10 ports to Vietnam's network

The Ministry of Transport (MoT) has added ten new ports to Vietnam’s network, bringing the total to 296. Northern Hai Phong city has the most, with 52, followed by Vung Tau city in southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province with 48. Cargo passing through Vietnam’s ports in the first quarter of this year totaled nearly 180 million tons, with container cargo rising 6 per cent year-on-year to 6.2 million TEUs.
