Collections up only slightly as global economic difficulties linger.

The city had been assigned to collect over VND386.6 trillion ($16 billion) in State budget revenue in 2022.

Collections from imports and exports reached VND280 trillion ($11.7 billion).

With proposals in place to reduce excise taxes and value added taxes on gasoline, total tax reductions stand at an unprecedented VND126 trillion ($5.3 billion). The Minister of Finance has said that such reductions and other difficulties make tax collections and balancing the budget extremely difficult.
