Imported sugarcane products subject to anti-dumping, anti-subsidy taxes

The Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a Decision on August 1 subjecting certain sugarcane products imported from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, and Myanmar to an anti-dumping tax rate of 42.99 per cent and an anti-subsidy tax rate of 4.65 per cent until June 15, 2026. The Decision is to ensure a fair and equal competitive environment.

Imposing tax on cane sugar imported from some countries

According to Decision 1514/QĐ-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), a number of cane sugar products imported from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia and Myanmar will be subject to anti-dumping tax of 42.99 per cent and anti-subsidy tax of 4.65 per cent. Valid until June 15, 2026. The decision is to ensure a fair and equal competitive environment.
