The Minister of Information and Communications has issued an action plan to implement the National Cybersecurity and Safety Strategy, proactively responding to challenges from cyberspace to 2025 with a vision for 2030. Approved by the Prime Minister in mid-August, the strategy aims to make Vietnam a powerhouse in cyberinformation security.

Information safety remains a complex matter in Vietnam, with nearly 2,000 websites masquerading as organizations in recent times, while nearly 100 million data records have been improperly released and more than 100,000 accounts and passwords in the key internal systems of organizations and businesses leaked.
