Vietnam targets to build smart, AI-driven government by 2030
The newly-approved Digital Government Development Program aims to boost digital transformation at all Government agencies.
Programs to drive rural development adopted
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh approved two programs on rural development in August, including the Digital Transformation Program on building new rural areas towards a “smart new countryside” in the 2021-2025 period, and a program to strengthen environmental protection, food safety, and clean water supply in new rural area construction in the 2021-2025 period.
Over 68% of MoF's online public services at Levels 3 and 4
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has determined that providing online public services is a top priority in building e-government and the digital government. The ministry has completed the connection and integration of 355 of 518 online public services at Levels 3 and 4 on the National Public Service Portal, or 68.53 per cent. The ministry has set a target of, by 2025, 80 per cent of administrative procedures being processed entirely online.
