Foreign funds see Vietnam’s economy as superior

Amid a plunging local stock market and a growing risk of global crisis, a number of foreign funds such as Dragon Capital, VinaCapital, and Dynam Capital have expressed a belief that Vietnam’s economy is superior to others around the world. The Economist magazine has listed countries most at risk from imported inflation and supply chain disruptions, and Vietnam is not among them.

Amazing GDP growth makes Vietnam unique

Mr. Craig Martin, Chairman of Dynam Capital, has said that Vietnam stood out with its amazing GDP growth of 7.7 per cent in the second quarter, which exceeded expectations and was significantly higher than in other countries. However, he also warned that a global recession would affect the country’s export growth in 2023.
